Achievements

In the 12th edition of the "Competition for the Best Engineering Thesis 2025" organized by the Stowarzyszenie Elektryków Polskich (SEP) , the winners were members of our student circle:

-first prize (ex aequo) was awarded to Paweł Jędryczka for his thesis "Design and construction of a device for processing PET bottles into 3D printer filament", supervised by DSc PhD Eng. Agnieszka Lazarowska, Associate Professor at Gdynia Maritime University,

-second prize (ex aequo) was awarded to Kamil Kaczmarek for his thesis "Design and Implementation of a Device for Integrating Stage Lighting Systems with Conventional Lighting Systems", supervised by DSc PhD Eng. Agnieszka Lazarowska, Associate Professor at Gdynia Maritime University.

Additionally, Paweł Jędryczka received the Minister of Infrastructure Award for the best Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) at Gdynia Maritime University.

The HMI student scientific club has received funding in the 5th edition of the program "Student Scientific Clubs Create Innovations". Project title: “Digital Twin – Design of a Safe Stage Rotor.” The granted funds amount to 38,720 PLN.

The project is planned for one year, starting in May 2025 and continuing until May 2026.

Below we share part of the decision statement: “The subject of the project concerns current issues in the fields of mechatronics, automation, and control systems. The project work will be supported through the use of a digital twin, which indicates an innovative approach to achieving the project’s goals.”

We are glad that we managed to secure the funding. Keep your fingers crossed for us! 💪 🙂

Awards received: ECSS Navigator software dedicated to the space industry from Costrum, and a business session with a Taiwanese company from 8FOUNDRY, for the most comprehensive project in the Defence category during the international SpaceShield Hack hackathon in Stalowa Wola by:

Finalists of the ministerial competition titled: "Student Scientific Circles Create Innovations", project title: “Artificial Intelligence in Industrial Applications”, 2021. Title of the second grant: "Digital Twin - Safe Stage Rotor Project", currently being implemented in 2025.

➤2024 awarded to Eng. Maciej Kazior the II degree award in the XI edition of the competition for the best engineering thesis, organized by Polish Electrical Engineers Association Gdańsk Branch.
➤2023 The Minister of Infrastructure awarded to Eng. Piotr Sokół the prize for the best shipboard electro-automatics
➤2020 nationwide competition “Polish PLC Programmers Championships”: - I – Polish vice-champion in the Expert category for Eng. Dawid Trzciński

Organizing popular science workshops on programming controllers for people with disabilities from “House of Dreams” 2024 and workshops titled “Industry 4.0” in collaboration with Mr. Sasa Simov, international Director of World Skills and Director of FESTO DIDACTIC in 2023.

Participation in conferences, writing scientific publications since 2020, a total of 19 publications have been written.

Collaboration with industry and engaging in the promotion of one's own Alma Mater, including participation in the scientific circles festival Sciencecom 2024. Additionally, we are facilitating the process of familiarizing students with companies in the land and marine automation industry. Over the past three years, we have established cooperation with companies: Sii, Automaze, Robotpol, WiRan.
